There is a 200m tiedown cable running parallel with runway 15 and 33. The tiedown is made up of a 20mm woven steel cable.
The club has a fuel depo with a metered pump service that carries a reserve of Avgas 100LL and Jet A-1. The depo is available to club members as well as the general public. Fuel sales to the public should preferrably be arraged prior to arrival at 076 767 3907.
The Swellengrebel flying club currently hosts six private hangars. Available hangarage in a private hangars must be arranged with the owner of a given hangar. Owners of hangars are welcome to advertise hangarage on this website.
The club allows members to apply for the erection of a private hangar on own expense. A once-off availability fee is payable prior to contruction. The structure of the hangar remains the private property of the owner, but the floor of the hangar, always remains the property of the club. Private hangars may only be used for the primary purpose of storing private aircraft and no commercial activities may be done within the hangars.
A flight office is available to members for the drafting of flight plans, the filing of flight documents and flight related administration. The office is also available as a lecture room for flight training and has a white board, overhead projector, filing cabinets and aviation maps.
The club house is licensed with a bar area, a kitchen and reception room with braai facilities.
The bar facilities are available to members and their guests on social events.
Picknick tables are available on the front lawn.
There are two seperate bathrooms for men and women, each with one shower and two toilettes. For larger events, three unisex toilets and two unisex showers are available. The unisex toilets are accessable from the outside and is always open to unexpected visitors.
The Swellengrebel flying club is situated next the the Bontebok National Park and provides a relaxing breakaway for the adventurer. The camping areas are available during flying weekends to members and their guests - pre-arrangement is necessary.
